Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I work while I’m training?
A: Yes. In fact, we encourage a woman who has a part time job to keep it so that she has some income.  Hours need to be arranged so that she is free to train from 8:45 am – 3:00 pm for on-site training and also be available for 40 - 160 hours of internship training.

Q: Do you help with transportation?
A: We have a very limited amount of resources for bus tokens.  Transportation assistance may be provided on a need basis as determined between the woman and our social worker.

Q: Is there a dress code?
A: Yes.  Women in the various training tracks are expected to dress in career appropriate attire/uniforms, e.g. scrubs.

Q: Do I have to have a high school diploma to be accepted?
A: A high school diploma is required for both the CNA/GNA and Pharmacy Technician programs.

Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: A woman must be at least 20 years of age to apply; there is no high end limit.

Q: How much does the program cost?
A: Caroline Center’s trainings are free.  There are fees attached to some of the trainings such as professional liability insurance clinical/internship experience and certification exam fees which the women are expected to pay.
