In September 2008, CC launched a new partnership with Govans Ecumenical Development Corporation to provide employment services to clients of GEDCO's community outreach program, CARES. Funded by Second Presbyterian Church this partnership has as its goal to increase self sufficiency of the men and women who come to CARES for emergency food and other assistance. CARES Career Connection will operate three days a week (T-W-F) and one Saturday a month. Volunteers are needed for mentoring and assisting with job search.
