Approach

Caroline Center's approach to job training is a holistic one that builds academic and work skills while assisting in job search and transition to the workplace.

The program comprises small classes and individual instruction, computer training, workshops, lectures, field trips, internships, one-on-one counseling, and group counseling to address issues of mutual interest and concern. Women who graduate not only have academic and skill proficiencies, but are also equipped to address the personal and practical challenges that they must deal with on a daily basis while moving from unemployment to work or from underemployment to full employment.  Once graduated, women are encouraged to maintain contact with Caroline Center and use it as a resource for future job/career development and support network.
